ALL ABOUT OUR 2007 "PROD" IN JOSHUA TREE

Please make note of what's happening in your community and be part of it if you can. Then the more the merrier, so feel free to bring your friends and other pets and family members...

Photographer's Agenda:

As much as possible we'll be working in early-morning direct light, then in full daylight for the backlit set-ups that should make you and this catalogue stand out. Producing crisp, stunning, and colorful images requires talents, patience and organization. If you have some, you should both enjoy the process and be rewarded...

• Shoot all the Classics...
• Get a ton of "lifestyle" shots
• Do a little bit of video as well
• Capture memorable moments...

• Shoot for a day at the water-park
• Work hard, relax, and sleep tight
• Keep quality & style consistency
• DO NOT miss one "cliche"

• Try to edit photos as we go...
• Photograph kids climbing w/adults
• Shoot someone bolting a new line
• Go BIG on Scenic & Product shots

GOOD ATTITUDE PROTOCOL

Expected / Banned / Unwanted:

"Expected" are the items we can promise, like to get you safe camp-sites, offer you clean showers, and even have someone cook your breakfast! "Banned" and "unvanted" is what we don't want to see... like adults smocking weed, drinking or swearing in the front of the kids. Lots of them are going to attempt the event, and positive role models they should meet and hopefully climb with...

Tips from the Photographer:

Please don't take this too serioulsy, but here is indeed a few "tips" to optimise your chances to get yourself a couple of cool spreads in this one of kind "theme-catalogue" Volume 1.

• Always smile, unless it hurts...
• Be available & really take it easy
• Rig a line for the photographer
• Make GOOD suggestions

• Bring and wear brighter colors
• Share your experience w/others
• Forget about your other sponsors
• DO NOT pause, it looks fake!

• Help holding lights & reflectors
• Don't make too many suggestions
• Be ready to shoot before sunrise
• Climb Father Figure & Equinox

Other Tips from "JM" a.k.a. Jean-Michel:

Pfu, I can't believe I just built this web-page by myself... It should be a little easier to make updates, now. As for giving you other tips, well, it's going to be a lot of work, so let my Assistant know what you'd like to be shot in and try to think of something that requires minimum or no hiking. Then like the usual, I'm of course not going to have a minute for myself, so please indulge if I must sometime act like the man who wasn't there...

Action/Fashion Photography:

Founded in 2006 by Photographer/Director, Jean-Michel Casanova, to produce content that makes a difference, the Kids of Climbing Corporation always welcomes students willing to learn quicker on the field. Please contact us if you are interested in formal education or school credit-based internship or partnership.
